A Second Collection of Strathspey Reels
by William Shepherd

Full title: A Second Collection of Strathspey Reels &c. for the Piano Forte Violin & Violoncello, Composed by William Shepherd Dedicated to Lady Carmichael of Castlecraig

Publisher: Edinburgh : Printed & sold by Gow & Shepherd

Printer: Gow & Shepherd

Date: [1801-11]

Notes:

The basslines in this second book are a little more intricate and only a little more pianistic than those in the first: some chords and broken chords, but still mostly 4-beat single notes.
Many tunes appear to follow rather predictable patterns and are rather lacking in character.

RISM: S2918

Gore: S4

Link: HMT transcription, no basslines.
