Description:

The collection contains mostly strathspeys and reels, and a few jigs. Macdonald was cellist to Niel Gow, and the book includes tunes by both Niel and Nathaniel. It also has a subscribers list.

Notes:

Whilst there are occasional double-stops in the tunes, the basslines are always simple, almost as austere as McGlashan's.
