by Munro, Alexander

Full title: A Collection of the Best Scots Tunes Fited to the German Flute With Several Divisions, & Variations. By A. Munro … At Paris. [second titlepage] Recueil des meilleurs Airs Ecossois pour la Flûte Traversiere, Et la Baße, Avec plusieurs Divisions, et Variations, par Mr. Munro. Gravé par Dumont. A Paris - Avec permission.

Publisher: Paris

Printer: Dumont sculpsit

Date: 1732

Notes:

The opening piece 'Walace March' is clearly a model for Burk Thumoth's (quite different) version. The 'Tweed Side' bassline very like the one in Orpheus Caledonius 2. Wighton's translation of the privilege appears at the back of the GB-Ducl copy.
