Mrs Parker's Selection of Scotch Tunes Strathspeys & Reels
by Parker, Mrs
Full title: Mrs. Parker's Selection of Scotch Tunes Strathspeys & Reels for the Piano-Forte or Harpsichord
Publisher: Dublin. Publish'd by Edmund Lee (No..2) Dame Street near the Royal Exchange
Date: [1797-1800?]
Notes:
Basses are all single lines, some very active, others very repetitive (including 'Pipe Reel'). some double stops and fiddle chords in treble stave but basses consistently single. GB-En copy ends on p12 with Colonel McLeod's Strathspey. It is interesting that a DUBLIN book has such characteristic basslines.
